We successfully secured and recently completed the groundworks package for the development of a new building within an existing secondary school. Our works included full sub-structure works to a large 2 storey multi-purpose extension, adding a significant amount of internal floor space to the existing school. 

 

The second element of our works was the external works package which was the redevelopment of the area surrounding the new building and perimeter to the school that served both the school and the adjacent leisure centre. This included a complete new drainage system for the new building and diversion of large storm water pipes from the existing buildings and grounds. 

 

The project was a success with us achieving all of our targeted deadlines. We had an exceptional working relationship with KIER which enabled us to achieve our works within the programmes timescale in a safe and considerate manner, despite working within a live secondary school and leisure centre environment. We was noted by KIER to have exceptional skill, methods and safety record in managing to avoid a record 33 live service ducts while excavating the main building plot which was running alongside an electricity sub station.
